How to be More Intentional About Your Health

We live in a fast-paced word which allows us to get lost and carried away. We don’t notice it until we see a change in our health or take a step back and analyze our way of living. When you start analyzing your problems you can stop them in their tracks or stop them before they even arrive. Being intentional about our health is crucial, but how do we become more self-aware? We have some steps you can take to get you on the right track!

Analyze and Plan

We can’t move on or create a plan without analyzing ourselves first. If you’re looking to better yourself, chances are you found something you’re not content with. Find what brought you to this point. If your health is what you want to fix, ask yourself, am I working out enough? Am I eating right? How can I put my health first? Once you asses your problem, you can plan how to fix it!

Making a list of your goals is important, so you can come back to them when you feel unmotivated. There’s a reason you wrote them down, so let’s get after them!

Develop Healthier Habits

Research shows that it takes about 21 days to form a habit. If we are being intentional with our health, then we must form better eating habits, mental health habits, and exercise habits. All of these add up. You can start small by replacing our usual snack of a bag of chips with sliced fruit. Instead of taking the elevator – take the stairs. When you have a negative thought about yourself, replace it with 3 good thoughts!

Keep it Going!

Being intentional with your health can easily become a long-term habit. When you notice an improvement in your life, you’ll want to keep going. You only get one body this lifetime, let’s treat it well mentally and physically!
