How To Nurture More Self-Confidence

Let’s face it, last year was hard for everyone! We were forced inside and forced to deal with ourselves. Social distance took a negative hit on people’s mental health affecting their self-image and intrusive thoughts.

Thankfully, we are trying to get back to our new normal. If the stay-at-home order contributed to a lower self-esteem, now is the time to reawaken your greatness and rediscover yourself.

Here are three simple tips to nurture more self confidence in the next thirty days.

Celebrate Your Small Victories

Did you get up on time this morning? Celebrate! Did you not burn your toast in the oven? Great job! Crushed your work meeting presentation? You go girl! Celebrating the small victories is a great way to build confidence and start feeling better about yourself.

Get out and get moving

Exercise is a great way to increase motivation, practice setting goals and build confidence. Breaking a sweat also cues the body to release endorphins, the feel- good hormones. If you do not have motivation to workout call your girlfriends and make it a group activity. Being around the positive people you love who give compliments freely will leave you in a more self-loving state towards them and yourself.

Be kind to yourself

There will be times where you don’t feel your best. The best positive affirmations won’t seem to help. But, remember self-confidence is a trait that requires a lot of work to develop and nurture. With any journey, there will be some ups and downs but the only goal is to make it to your destination.
