What motivated you to start your journey?
What motivated me is how I was feeling, which I always felt fatigued, and my knees started hurting and after 5 kids, that was my biggest weight (213). I gave birth to my last baby weighing in at 237. I went down to around 213 in 2020. I decided while we were on quarantine to get back into working out. So, I got back into Herbalife and got my waist trainer. Got into all these 21-day challenges that my little sister encouraged me to join. My little sister decided to help and workout with me, so I bought creams and my waist trainer at a XL soon went down to needing to buy a L. So, I did my Herbalife shakes twice a day with a meal in between and worked out using Chloe Ting videos every day. Once my sister made a zoom for workouts, I had my what waist trainer in a now L and when I would measure myself weekly, I was encouraged to keep going because I kept seeing my inches go along with the weight.
How has What Waist helped your journey?
The waist trainer always gave me confidence, which is why I kept wearing it daily, and kept seeing results from working out. It was the hardest journey I ever experienced, there were so many times I wanted to give up, but I maintained because I had support around me. Pictures were my biggest influence to keep pushing, seeing all the changes I was experiencing while losing weight. Receiving compliments and people telling me how I motivated them to lose weight made me feel amazing like I actually helped in changing people’s mindset. It took me two weeks of working out to get over the pain and 21 days to get used to working out.
What advice would you give someone that’s looking to begin a new fitness journey?
I would encourage anyone to push through the pain you experience the next day after working out, it’s all mental. If you want it bad enough, go get it and waist train daily while doing it. Using what waist has definitely gave me the confidence to see results weekly. I made working out a habit, something I hated doing.
I was never the one to work out, I hated it but now I enjoy it! It was something I had to squeeze in my schedule because I have 5 kids under 12, and I work full time, so I made an 8pm schedule to workout daily. Being that we work from home some days, I will work out earlier. But I always keep in mind I have an appointment at 8pm so I do whatever I need to do so I can do my workout at 8pm.
You have to schedule your stuff, there’s no excuse on I don’t have the time, find an hour out of your day whether it be the morning or night. You can do if I can do it and I’m a busy mom. I used to make excuses too.

I never in life thought I could lose so much weight in so little time until I became consistent. That’s when I realized consistency is number one, it takes mental strength, determination, motivation, willpower, a lot of support and group support, a support system, all of that. I wanted to to quit I wanted to stop and say ok I’m good where I’m at. When I kept joining 21-day challenges and taking photos of my progress, I started competing with myself to see how far I can get, I seen many YouTube videos of workouts I enjoyed, and I started enjoying challenging myself so much that my weight just kept coming off. Staying away from the scale is major, taking photos is key!!!
