How To Stay Fit Without Going To The Gym

To lead a healthy active lifestyle, it’s important to stay fit. Regularly exercising reduces your risk of disease, improves your mental health, leads to you living a longer life and so much more. Everyone’s number one answer for how to get fit is by going to the gym. However, for some, the gym may not be an option for them. Whether it’s because they find the gym to be intimidating and overwhelming or difficult to make the weekly journey to. That’s why in today’s blog we’ll be sharing the many ways to stay fit and active without going to the gym.

Walking

The beauty of walking is that it’s something we do every day and a tool we can use to stay active without even trying. Your walk to the fridge, to check the mail, and around work or school, all add up to the overall steps you take in a day. It’s recommended you should be taking a total of 10,000 steps a day to maintain an active lifestyle. This number may seem hard to accomplish but it’s quite easy. You can start your day walking for one hour and accumulate around 5,000 steps. As long as you spend the rest of the day being active and moving your legs, you’ll easily get 10,000 steps in. So instead of taking the elevator while at work maybe take the flight of stairs. When you go to the grocery store park further away and take time to browse through every aisle so you can get those extra steps in.

At-Home Workouts

Your home can be a great place to not only binge-watch your favorite shows but also get fit. There are so many activities that are done at the gym that can be replicated at home. Put on your favorite tunes and recreate those fun TikTok dances you’ve seen. Even if it’s just for 30 minutes four times a week it all adds up to your overall fitness. Now for our Warriors who live in apartments or dorms and don’t want to disturb neighbors with loud footwork, you can do other workouts like sit-ups, push-ups, or Pilates exercises. Dust off your old dumbbells and start back up your weightlifting journey or jump some rope. Your workouts at home can be filled with just as much variety as the gym.
If you’re ready to try at-home workouts we recommend our Weighted Wristbands and Resistance Bands. Weighted Wristbands can be worn on your wrist or ankles to increase your activity level when exercising. It’s easily removable and weighs one pound each, adding some resistance training to your workout routine. Our Resistance Bands are soft-to-the-skin supportive bands perfect for toning and defining every area of your body featuring three resistance levels.
