It's March, and the excitement of the new year might've worn off for you. Especially if you had a big goal to meal plan and incorporate healthier eating habits. 

But don’t worry, we’re not here to guilt you or make you feel bad for falling off a bit. Trust us, we’ve all known the struggle of trying to create healthier habits. 

In fact, we’re here to help remind you just how simple this can be. Here are 3 quick tips that will help meal planning become easier, and more manageable. 

1. Start small 

This might sound simple but starting small will help build your confidence to stay more consistent. You don’t have to figure everything out at once. You don’t have to whip up a masterpiece every night. Overwhelm will only discourage you. Plan out a few meals for the week ahead or for particular days. Not every meal. Find what works, what meals you like, and continually build momentum. 


2. Shop your own fridge and pantry 

So, you want to run to the grocery store but there’s already plenty of food at home. Probably more than you think. Checking your own fridge and pantry is possibly the easiest way to save money and prep time. Also, there are apps that will allow you to search for recipes based on the ingredients you already have. 


3. Nothing wrong with a theme 

Meatless Monday, Taco Tuesday? Use these catchy phrases to your advantage, if you need to. Create your own. This is about doing what works for you and your family. If you want to have breakfast for dinner, go for it. Assigning specific days for specific meal types will help take the guesswork out of it and make your planning even easier. Don’t knock it until you try it.
